Microsoft at the Domain: Help! I Need a Business Website! Let’s Get a Plan

Join us for an Interactive Workshop designed to teach you the process of strategically planning your new or refreshed website. This hands-on session will give you the key steps for thinking through your marketing and communications before you hire and pay a website designer or agency.

*This workshop is held in the Microsoft store at the Domain shopping center next to Macy's. Parking is available in the garage one block away or at Macy's.

We will work as a large group, individually and in small groups so that you leave the session with some valuable information for practical use in your business.

Please bring your laptop and a notebook for writing your own plans.

Things we will cover in discussions and hands-on exercises:

  1. Defining your goals for the website.
  2. Conducting a competitive analysis among similar businesses.
  3. Shoring up your objectives about who your site is for and the products and services you are marketing. What features and functions does your website need to have?
  4. Outlining the project: what will you handle versus the vendor(s) such as designers and developers?
  5. Issuing a request for proposal and reviewing the responses you receive.
  6. Top tips for keeping your website project on time and on budget.
