NDT for Corrosion Inspection of Structures - NSW 

Over the past 10 years we have been happy to bring our customers a range of technical events to both show off our equipment and transfer important knowledge.  This year we are pleased to offer a new development in our event programme.

We will be presenting the training course “NDT for Corrosion Inspection of Structures”. As well as providing excellent background and theoretical information about these techniques we will also be providing hands on experience with each device. During the course you will be required to perform and report results from our specially design test blocks. We will also be carrying out an assessment and issuing certificates of competency for each device. We will have a host of equipment so every person gets a chance to try the gear out themselves.

The course will take place on the 21st of June from 3pm at the Burwood RSL.

Course content will include:


3.00-3.30- Overview of Corrosion Theory in Concrete Structures

3.30-3.50-  Theory and Use Covermeters

3.50-4.00-  Theory and Use Resistivity Meters

4.00-4.20-  Theory and Use Half Cell Potential and Corrosion Rate Meters

4.20-4.40- Coating Thickness Gauges and Steel Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges

4.40-4.50- Afternoon Tea


4.50-6.30- 25 minutes at separate 4 stations to test your mettle against our test blocks

6.30-7.00- Assessment- questions on theory and practice of each device

7.00-7.30- Nibbles and Networking

There will be a nominal charge of $30 ex GST for attendance but the value of the course will be much more. We will be in touch after registration to organise this.
