The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and Northeastern University invite you to join Governor Charlie Baker, President Joseph E. Aoun, industry and research leaders for a special event on April 19th celebrating the Massachusetts Advanced Nanomanufacturing Cluster for Smart Sensors and Materials.

The event will bring together a collection of researchers, industry executives, academic and policy leaders who will highlight how the development of nanomaterials and ‘smart sensors’ in Massachusetts can have a revolutionary effect on 21st Century technologies including wearable electronics and on the ‘Internet of Things’. The market for biosensors alone is estimated to be $14 billion in 2015 and the market for the ‘Internet of Things’ is estimated to grow to over $400 billion by 2024.

  • 2:30 p.m.             Registration opens
  • 3:00 p.m.             Announcement related to the Massachusetts Advanced Nanomanufacturing Cluster  for Smart Sensors and Materials, featuring remarks from leaders including Governor Charlie Baker and Northeastern President Joseph E. Aoun.
  • 4:00 p.m.                   Networking

Attendees interested in learning more about the sector are invited to a pre-event symposium from 1-3 p.m., hosted by Northeastern.  Details on that event can be found on NU’s website. Please note on the registration page whether you also plan to attend the Symposium.
