Volunteer to cleanup for Earth Week 2016

Clearwater will continue celebrating Earth Week 2016 by spending our third cleanup day in Newburgh, NY working in conjunction with the Quassaick Creek Watershed Alliance.   Volunteers will meet at the South end of Temple Ave. to start and work around the lake to clear any litter that may possibly enter the waterway.  We will need volunteers to help us prior to the event to spread the word as well as throughout the day in various ways.

On the day of the event volunteers will be needed to sign people in, pick litter, sort trash and recyclables and record all collection data.  Volunteers will be required to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the event for assignments and to complete waivers.  

Please be sure to wear sturdy shoes, layers of clothing that you are willing to get dirty, sunscreen, water and a hat.  We will not provide refreshments so feel free to bring a light snack if you think you will need one.
