Triathlon

The Freedom Fest Mini-Triathlon was created as a non-competitive, family friendly fitness event for Pine City and surrounding communities.

• The Mini-Triathlon begins with a 300 yd lake swim at the Pine City beach.  Lifeguard staff is on site. Lifejackets and kickboards are permitted. 

• The second leg is a 12 mile bike ride along county roads in the area.  Starting and ending point is the Westside Beach location.  Bathrooms are on site if participants wish to change between swim and bike events.

• The final leg of the triathlon is a 2 mile walk/run through downtown Pine City. Enter individually and do all 3 legs of the race or enter as a team and split the legs among your team members.

The event start time for this year will be 8:00 AM and will begin at Westside Park/City Beach on the west side of Pine City. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET IN THIS AREA SO THAT IT REMAINS SAFE FOR PARTICIPANTS.

Participants must be 18+ to register.  Ages 13-17 may enter the event if accompanied by a parent or responsible adult that will be on the course.

Registration fee for each participant is $15 and includes a Freedom Fest Triathlon T-shirt along with a participant gift bag. All interested participants must be registered by June 15th in order to receive a shirt.
