So you want to start or expand a small business?  In today’s competitive and globalized business climate, the idea of becoming an entrepreneur can be daunting and the process very involved and complex. Join TD Bank, the Local Development Corporation and Increasing HOPE for a one day training for non profits and entrepreneurs alike.  Every nonprofit registration comes with up to 2 slots for entrepreneurs you are working with in your community or entrepreneurs can register on their own for a reduced rate!

An entrepreneur has to be fully aware of the expectations of what it means to be a small business owner and how to properly manage personal and business finances before starting the process.  They need to understand how to secure financing for their business, be able to prepare an adequate loan application to convey to potential funders that they are invested in the business themselves, and have a vision for future sustainability.  They also need to know how to perform a market analysis to become familiar with their competition, determine if they are going to be profitable, and realistically define what success will look like.  In this workshop, three groups will share their expertise in specific areas of small business development and provide participants with actionable guidance on how to create or expand their own small business.

The workshop will also be relevant for practitioners and MicroBusiness Development Organizations interested in learning how to create or expand their own small business development programs in order to assist burgeoning entrepreneurs in their service area. Each nonprofit registration allows you ro bring a staff member plus 2 entrepreneurs you are working with to this critical training.

Please join Grant McAnulty of TD Bank, Dorothea Bernique of Increasing H.O.P.E. and Cindi Rourk of Local Development Corporation in this dynamic training.
