Community Building Workshop for Chattanooga Volunteers

Please join us for a Community Building Workshop based on the groundbreaking work of M Scott Peck, MD, renowned psychologist and bestselling author of The Road Less Traveled.

We are living in a time of unprecedented connectivity in America yet our experience is one of increasing separation and isolation. In fact, one in four people report having not even a single person in their lives close enough to confide in. Community Building Workshops set a different standard. In an incredibly short period of time, they create a context of unusual trust and safety which leads to an experience of deep connection. This experience promotes personal and unexpected healing for many. It also promotes enhanced performance with just about any team using the model as well as to improved outcomes with just about any program where participants have also attended a Workshop.

Participation is open to volunteers and professionals working on issues related to peace, justice and economic development in Chattanooga.

More Information

In a Community Building Workshop, participants gain the ability to listen more intensely, to express emotions more openly and to be more fully present to self and others in their day-to-day routines. The shared experience improves group properties which, research has shown, leads to more effectual learning and working environments with higher levels of individual participation and better outcomes.

Community Building Workshops are being offered to volunteers and professionals of Chattanooga area government and social service agencies and faith based and community organizations as part of Community Building Chattanooga - an initiative to incorporate Community Building into programs that focus on issues related to peace and justice, economic development and community engagement.

If you are interested, please attend a free Community Building Workshop sponsored by Chattanooga Endeavors.
