Presenting: "UN-FRYING THE NEURONS: REVERSING COGNITIVE DEFICITS IN ADDICTION TREATMENT AND MENTAL HEALTH"

In this presentation, Dr. Sharma seeks to examine how and to what extent cognitive deficits develop in nature. He will further explore how the proactive efforts of cognitive remediation methodologies can reverse the deficit left behind by harmful substances or adverse behaviors presented by drugs, alcohol, and mental illness.

 Course Objectives:

  • Understanding the genesis of cognitive dysfunction
  • Recognizing the extent to which cognitive dysfunction can have an effect
  • Using cognitive remediation to reverse cognitive deficits

This course meets the quali­fications for one hour continuing education credit for MFT’s, LPCC’s, LEP’s, and/or LCSW’s required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), provider number PCE5216.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP16424, for one ontact hour. Sovereign Health Group has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6752.

Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identi­fied. Sovereign Health Group is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
