FCSSBC Workshop: Retiring Well – Mind, Heart, Body, Soul

The vast majority of the material available for retirement planning addresses the finances required to support the lifestyle you desire, post-work. This workshop addresses that lifestyle change from the human angle. What will this transition mean to you? What do you need to consider when “graduating” from your work life to your post-work life?

We will begin by getting to know your retirement heroes, then look at some research, and explore retirement planning from a variety of angles (intellect, relationships, health and wellness, spirit). We will conclude with the opportunity to develop your personalized plan for your retirement lifestyle.

Annemarie Travers is recently (1 ½ years) retired from a long career in MCFD, where her final position was Director of Learning and Development for the ministry.   Annemarie now spends her time travelling, walking long distance, enjoying a new relationship with time that allows more room for family and friends, and volunteering “outside the box” – this workshop is an example of the latter. Annemarie is also a member of the hosting team for Leadership 2020.
