The GOA NW GA Regional Meeting will offer a total of 3 hours of Georgia State Board Approved CE and those in attendance will also have the opportunity to hear from Dr. Judd Briggs, GOA President. 

Meeting registration will begin at 12:30 p.m.  Dr. Judd Briggs, GOA President will give a brief presentation starting at 1:00 p.m. and our first speaker will begin at 1:30 p. m. and we will conclude by 4:30 p.m.  

Box Lunch will be provided.  

Our feature speakers for this event are Cameron Johnson, M.D. from Milan Eye Center (a GOA Diamond Partner) and Larry Brown, O.D., Member of the Georgia State Board of Optometry. The courses offered at this meeting are as follows:

Cicatrizing Conjunctivitis
(2hrs) Georgia State Board Approved
Lecturer: Cameron Johnson, M.D., Milan Eye Center  

This course will provide a review of the causes, symptoms, and treatments of cicatrizing conjunctivitis.  The first hour will cover conditions including ocular cicatricial pemphigoid, atopic keratoconjunctivitis, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and drug induced cicatrizing conjunctivitis. The second hour will focus on the management of ocular chemical and thermal burns.

Lecturer: Larry Brown, O.D., Georgia State Board of Optometry 

Are you practicing within your scope and according to Georgia Law? Dr. Larry Brown will be lecturing on current State Board Rules and Georgia Laws as they pertain to your Georgia license.

Registration is available for all Optometrists. 

Additionally if you would like to tour the Booth Western Art Museum entrance into the museum is included.
