Presenting: "TRAUMA AND ADDICTION"
This seminar will focus on the traumatic roots of addiction and will address how we acknowledge addiction in a trauma informed way.
Course Objectives:
- Identifying the connections between trauma and addiction.
- Understanding the issues that will arise in early treatment when a client has been using substances to medicate underlying trauma.
- Identifying how our treatment of addiction must incorporate the treatment of trauma to reach lasting sobriety.

This course meets the qualifications for one-hour continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), provider number PCE5216.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP16424, for one ontact hour.
The Sovereign Health Group has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6752. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Sovereign Health Group is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
Course completion certificates can be retrieved by completing the course evaluation and returning it at the registration table.
