End of Camp Pick up Time:
Friday, July 8, 1:00 p.m. at the Main Clubhouse or Friday, July 8, 3:30 p.m. at the Olympic Oval Sport Medicine Parking Lot. We will be able to bring some athletes, bikes and their bags back to the University of Calgary on Friday.
Lodging will be at the Alpine Club in the Main Clubhouse and the Bell Cabin. There are spots for 39 athletes, 27 at the Main Clubhouse and 12 at the Bell cabin. It will be first come first serve for these spots. There will be 5 coaches/support people staying at the main clubhouse and 2 in the Bell Cabin. Due to the limited number of spots available for athletes, there will be no available room for other parents in either cabin. Those skaters that do not end up staying in the Alpine Club can still take part in the camp and can also choose to access meals served at the main clubhouse. Please fill out all fields in the form.
There are also numerous hotel options in the Canmore area.
This camp is geared towards T2T and Junior skaters. Training volume will be adjusted for at least two levels of skater. As the focus will be on longer duration aerobic training please ensure the athletes are capable of at least 90’ bike rides, 2-3 hour hikes, and 60-90’ in-line or dry-land sessions. The intent is for the athletes to enjoy their experience and be challenged. We will be doing 2 sessions each day using these types of activities, and although it is mostly low intensity, it is important that they are not overwhelmed by the amount of training. Coaches and parents please use your discretion for younger T2T athletes. Please contact Mike Marshall to inquire about younger athletes being ready.
Please note that events may be switched due to weather. Times are departure times from Alpine Club
