About the Course

Internal audits are an important component of all ISO based quality standards. Internal Audit class students will leave with actual audit experience. Students will be ready to conduct audits as soon as they return from the class. 

Student will be provided:

1. A copy of the ISO 9001:2008 Standard.
2. Review of  new requirements of ISO 9001:2015
3. A copy of the Mock Audit Documents & Records.
4. Internal Auditor Training guide to follow the presentation and take notes.

Two Day Training:

Day 1:

Focused training on the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system and its requirements; followed by review of ISO 9001:2015. Sessions are interactive with two presentations and several hands-on exercises. 

Agenda:

• “Guide to Internal Auditing” Power Point Presentation 1: purpose is to review and discuss the organization of the ISO 9001:2008 standard
• Exercise “Is it a Requirement?”
• “Requirements of ISO 9001:2008” Power Point Presentation 2 outlining the requirements of each section and what it is really asking you to do. The course covers the following topics
  •  What is ISO 9001:2008 - (for use in class only – this is copyrighted material and cannot be distributed or kept).
  •  Steps and Benefits of registration
  •  The Process Model/Process Approach
  • Exercise “Find the Requirement”.   

Day 2:

The second day of the training is devoted to the auditing process. The student will go through all the steps required for an audit, with hands on involvement in performing each step by conducting a mock audit of a fictitious company.

Agenda:

• “Steps of ISO 9001:2008 Internal Audit” Power Point presentation
• Review the audit documents and records provided for our mock audit company.
• Student will present their audit findings
• “Steps of ISO 9001:2008 Internal Audit” Power Point presentation will then highlight the non-conformances for each section.
• Exam will be given
• Training certificate is issued
