2016 ASOC Family Gathering
Tuesday, July 19, 5:30pm until 9pm
at Troy Community Center
Our annual family gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 19 at Troy Community Center. Join us for food, fun and a great evening!
This event is open to all individuals with autism spectrum disorder of all ages and their families.
Each attendee will receive a special ASOC gift bag and be entered in a drawing for a certificate from our friends at Team Guts.
Continuing our support of micro-businesses by those wth special needs, we are proud to say that our delicious dinner will be catered by Matt's Coffee Shop.
and they will also be offering 10 minute information sessions throughout the evening, at the top of each hour, with time for questions after each session.
6pm - overview of sensory processing
Will discuss what sensory dysfunction looks like, how it impacts and when to be concerned.
7pm & 8pm - Strategies, tips and tools
Information and examples on how to support sensory processing.
Make & Take after 7pm and 8pm sessions!
Following both the 7pm and 8pm sessions there will be an option to create a Lap Buddy or Gak/Goo which will be yours to keep!
Don't forget your swimsuit and towel! Enjoy the indoor pool with lots of room for having fun, playing a game of basketball, doing some laps or just lounging about. The area also includes a boat slide, lily pads, twist & plunge slide and a splash & tumble zone.
