KowTeff's 2016 Juneteenth Celebration!

KowTeff is proud to announce our 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration, co-sponsored by Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Center for Arts and Culture.  Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the U.S. This year marks the 151st  anniversary of this historic holiday and 25th anniversary of KowTeff!  Come out (rain or shine) and celebrate Juneteenth in the heart of Brooklyn!

ENJOY A FULL DAY OF FREE EVENTS!

The Juneteenth Celebration will feature dynamic performances by professional and local arts groups, a Fitness and Wellness Expo (with resources, consultations, and classes), natural hair show, children's dance class and activities, outdoor houseparty with DJ JUAWANDI, and African Marketplace with some of the best vendors in town...ALL FREE OF CHARGE!

The Juneteenth will also offer several Community Dance Classes of different genres (donations accepted) as well as a Master African Dance Class ($15). Come on out and enjoy the festivities!
