All are invited to a concert with soprano Jody Mullen on Sunday, June 26 at 2:00 pm in the Mercer School Chapel of the Good Shepherd.

A freewill offering taken will be used entirely to support the status of refugees fleeing poverty and violence, particularly those from Syria and North Africa.

About the artist:

Jody graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, where she won the Ethel Stone LeFrak Prize in Music for her senior recital of American Songbook literature by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Loesser, Sondheim, and others. She spent two seasons performing with the critically acclaimed NYC-based young artist program dell'Arte Opera Ensemble, where her roles included Papagena and Erste Knabe in Die Zauberfloete, for which Meche Kroop of The Opera Insider praised her "fine harmonizing." She has served as a professional soprano soloist and section leader at Grace Church Brooklyn Heights under the direction of Paul Richard Olson since 2008 and is also employed by Music for All Seasons in NJ.

With an "acclaimed soprano voice that lends itself to the well-known classics and popular show tunes known as the Great American Songbook" (The Sparta Independent), she has performed in some of the country's most exciting venues. In April and May 2015, she debuted her solo show Love Letters from Jersey at Don't Tell Mama, the legendary cabaret space in midtown Manhattan, directed by Lennie Watts, with musical direction by Eddie Schnecker.

Please assist us in reaching out in Christ's name to those suffering alone in the world today.
