This is a recording of an hour-long session from the Planning Academy in Santa Barbara, California in March 2016.

Course Description: Regional Transportation Planning Issues, and Alternatives to the Car in Santa Barbara

The Takeaway: Students will understand the historical context for how ‘we got here’. They will learn how traffic engineering practices are different in Goleta vs. Santa Barbara. They will also learn how the US 101 widening project could impact surface traffic and how the rest of the region is planning to handle growth stemming from UCSB and Goleta.
