 Welcome to the site of Backbone Food Farm,  a diversified small family farm located in Garrett    County, MD. 

  We share our 530-acre farm at the foot of  Backbone Mountain with our animal partners that  include chickens, draft horses, cows and pigs. 

 Strictly sustainable and organic methods are used to  raise fresh, healthy safe-to-eat food.

From Deep Creek Lake follow Rt. 219 So. to Oakland. Stay on 219 south (turn right at Burger King). Follow 219 for 4 miles and turn left on Paul Friend Road, go 1 mile to Pleasant Valley Rd., follow 1 1/4 to Lynndale and turn left. Follow .4 miles to Backbone Food Farm, Turn Right at brown wood fence and cross cattle guard at entrance. Look for sign. Backbone Food Farm is 20 Minutes from Deep Creek.
