The TPREIA and InterNACHI 2016 Inspector's Expo will be held at the Brazos County Expo on October 15th and 16th, 2016. These classes are approved for 16-hours of TREC CEU's.  Classes are from 8AM - 5PM on both days.  We will have two different educational tracks for you to choice from.  One you your choices is to attend the two-day Thermo Imaging (Infrared) Training class and to obtain your InterNACHI InterNACHI Infrared-Certification®.

Friday, October 14, we will host a special vendors open house that you will want to attend.  We have over 35 vendors with everything that Inspectors need or want.  Don't miss this special event!  Come meet our vendors.

TRACK #1- 16-Hours  SORRY BUT THIS CLASS IS FULL

Exterior Cladding, Flashing, Decking and Fire-Wall Design 

TREC Course #30784, will be covered by experts from Louisianna Pacific (LP) during an eight hour class. Bring your questions, note pad, tablets, smart phones or computers to capture important notes, photos, illustrations and comments.  This course is designed to present exterior cladding post construction concerns, including proper flashing details for windows, doors, column, rack walls, butt joints options and porch siding required hard surface clearances. We will cover transitions between materials such as brick to siding, siding to stucco, fiber cement to smart side, smart side to vinyl and discuss the proper minimum clearances from hard surfaces and finished grade.  The class will cover proper sealant types and their installation methods.  Inspectors will be taught details about various fire-wall designs and their materials.  We will demonstrate various residential roof decking, structural panel roof decks with proper installations and common post-construction concerns. This course is designed to help the TREC Home Inspectors understand common building materials and ways to inspect common post-construction issues.

How to Perform Residential Swimming Pool and Spa Inspections

TREC course #30661, this four hour course will provide Home Inspectors with the knowledge to inspect swimming pools and spas.  This course will answer the "How, Why, What and Where" that should be included in an inspection for residential pools and spas and help you develop a check-list that can be used during your inspections. It will also give you a better understanding of how pool and spa equipment operates,  enabling the Home Inspector to perform a pool and spa inspection based on the TREC Standards of Practice and the National Swimming Pool Foundation.

Real Estate Inspectors Marketing 

TREC course #30658, this four hour class will open up a whole new world of marketing ideals that will excite you and open horizons of opportunity to increase your business.  If your business is not growing it may be shrinking.  This course is designed to provide you with the tools and information needed to make your inspection business expand beyond what you can imagine.  You will learn how and why you should market. We will cover successful advertisment methods, websites, social media and many other marketing concepts that will be very beneficial to you.

TRACK #2- 16-Hours

Building Science and Thermography  - Infrared-Certified® Class  

TREC course #31097 is approved by TREC for 16-hour ICE credit.  This course will instruct the home inspector in the proper use of a thermal imaging camera for home inspections. The student-inspector will also be taught the theory of electromagnetic radiation, thermodynamics, and building science.  Other topics include: hydrodynamics and fluidics; architecture, engineering, and construction practices; building maintenance; energy efficiency; heat, air and moisture effects; the building envelope; wind, rain, and sun factors; heating, cooling, humidity and moisture; climate zones and building practices; heat loss, stack effect, and air leaks; the hygric buffer and vapor barriers; and much more.
