Primed for Public Health - Opening Up the Six Pack

Opening Up the Six Pack: The major plans every health department should have - October 12, 2016

There are six plans that underpin public health accreditation: A solid strategic plan and community health assessment, and plans that address community health improvement, performance management, quality improvement, and workforce development.  These are critical elements of a modern health department whether or not your department is pursuing accreditation right now. Learn about the “Six Pack” and how having a handle on it will benefit your organization and community. (Lead instructors Kyla Waksmonski and Brian Kaczmarski, IWHI Consultants)

Primed for Public Health

What: Primed for Public Health is a series of training workshops especially for those who want to learn about or “brush up” in a certain public health quality content area.

Who: Staff of state, local and tribal health departments. Governing board members, clinical system partners and others.

How: One-day workshops featuring a variety of teaching approaches, including interactive exercises. Workshops will be from 9 AM to 3 PM to accommodate same-day travel from around the state.

Where: Sentry World, Stevens Point, Wisconsin

How Much: $175 per person per workshop. Lunch, refreshments, materials and a signed, dated completion certificate included.  Credit cards or checks will be accepted.  Payment must be made in advance of the training.

When can I register?: Registration for each session will open six to eight weeks in advance. Registration will be first come first serve and will remain open as long as there are available openings. We highly encourage registration prior to 2 week before each workshop.

Cancellation Policy:  Registrations cannot be cancelled, however, a different person from the same agency may attend in place of the original registrant.  The only exception to this will be if a workshop must be rescheduled or relocated.  If such relocation or rescheduling is unworkable for a registrant, a refund will be issued.
