7 pm: Our guest lecturer, Dr. Amit Bandyopadhyay of WSU, will discuss new opportunities for 3D printing/additive manufacturing technologies in space and beyond. Dr. Bandopadhyay and his students have recently received NASA funding, published articles and entered lunar habitat design competitions showcasing on-demand 3D printing techniques with metals, ceramics, and ....yes, even lunar regolith!  For Dr. Bandyopadhyay's complete biography, please read below. He will also be bringing his family so we'll get to meet his accomplished wife and lovely children as well. Consider bringing yours too!

8:30-9 ish (dusk) We will migrate next door to watch Ferris Bueller's Day Off at the kickoff of the Seattle outdoor movie season (http://www.epiceap.com/seattle-outdoor-movies/).
