The YRA Presents: Sailing the World with John Jourdane.
The Yacht Racing Association is pleased to announce our 1st Racer Social of 2016! Please join us on Wednesday June 29th, at the Encinal Yacht Club, for an entertertaning evening with John Jordane, the world renown offshore sailor.
Over the past 50 years, John Jourdane has sailed more than 300,000 miles, he has sailed between the West Coast and Hawaii 53 times, crossed the Atlantic Ocean 12 times, has circumnavigated the earth 3 times, including twice in the Whitbread Round the World Race (now called the Volvo Ocean Race).
John is not only a great sailor, but brings sailors and non-sailors into his world of offshore adventures. He was voted the “Best Racing Navigator in the World” by Yachting Magazine in 1993.
He is the author of two books, "Icebergs, Port & Starboard" and "Sailing with Scoundrels and Kings", and will have his books available for purchase at the event.

We expect this to be a very popular event and space is limited to the first 150 registrants so be sure to make your reservation soon!
Doors open at 6pm, and a no-host bar will be open. John will begin his fascinating and fun tales of adventure, at 7pm.
