Be a part of the Clovis/Fresno 2nd Annual Manufacturing Day!
Bringing Manufacturing Day to Clovis/Fresno is a collaborative effort between the San Joaquin Valley Manufacturing Alliance, Fresno County Office of Education, Institute of Technology and over 100 community partners. The San Joaquin Valley Manufacturing Alliance mission states that its primary objective is to “build a manufacturing epicenter by leveraging the Career, Technical and Education (CTE) programs in order to create a seamless transition from education to industry”. This education starts with our local youth, and Manufacturing Day is an opportunity for local companies and educators to come together to create an experience that will excite the next generation about careers in manufacturing.
Last year, with the help of local manufacturers like you, 80 local high school students learned about careers in manufacturing. We invite you to help grow Manufacturing Day in Clovis/Fresno by participating in the 2016 activities!
Facilities that are unable to host tours still have the ability to provide information about their organization to students. All students that participate in tours in the morning will meet at Institute of Technology for lunch. They will hear a brief presentation about careers in manufacturing and will then be able to visit with representatives from your organization.
It is FREE to host a table. Your table will be visited by aproximately 120 high school students and their chaperones.
Please arrive between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM for set-up and to enjoy lunch provided by the Institute of Technology culinary department chefs and students .
