The National Spasmodic Dysphonia Association invites you to attend the East Education Conference on Saturday, November 5th, at the Hampton Inn - Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA. Join us for fellowship, education, and fun. The event will host some of the leading experts in the field of spasmodic dysphonia while providing the opportunity to meet others who share a similar experience.

The goals of the Conference are:

  • To provide a learning environment in which people with spasmodic dysphonia may enhance their understanding of the disorder;
  • To facilitate an exchange of information on how to live effectively with the
    disorder;
  • To increase NSDA’s capabilities in measuring and understanding the needs of its
    members in order to develop future programs.

Hotel and Transportation
The meeting will be held at the Hampton Inn Philadelphia Convention Center which is located at 1301 Race Street in Philadelphia, PA. Located in downtown Philadelphia, the hotel is across the street from the Pennsylvania Convention Center and a short walk away from Philadelphia Chinatown. A hot breakfast and wifi is included in the special rate of $149 plus tax. The Philadelphia Hampton Inn Convention Center hotel's location is within walking distance to historic sites such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Betsy Ross House, and Penn's Landing. Stroll through Society Hill or walk down Elfreth's Alley, the oldest residential street in the US. Macy's Wanamaker Building and Reading Terminal Market are just steps from the hotel. 

The closest airport is the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The hotel is about 10 miles from the airport and taxi is about $30 each way. Self-parking at the hotel is $28.00 per day. Hotel is located at the corner of 13th and Race Streets.

Dress
Casual attire is appropriate for the symposium. Since the hotel is air-conditioned, bringing a sweater or jacket is advisable. We cannot control the temperature in the meeting rooms.
