Golf Tournament, Cocktail Party & Sponsorship

It’s time to sign up for your annual golf trip to beautiful Sheridan, Wyoming for the 2016 WAPL Golf Tournament!  This year’s golf tournament is Friday, August 5th with the traditional networking Cocktail Party on Thursday, August 4th at The Powder Horn Club House from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.  This year’s party is once again sponsored by Crowley Fleck and WAPL. 

Sponsorship is key to our success, so we ask that you please consider being a sponsor.  All sponsor names are displayed at the tournament and a brief bio with contact information is listed in the Players & Sponsors Directory which is given out to all participants at the golf tournament.  Proceeds from the tournament allows WAPL to provide economical educational seminars to its members and to also award substantial annual scholarships to member dependents. 

SPECIAL REMINDER:  If you were not here last year, the awards dinner after the golf tournament will be held at the Powder Horn.

Educational Seminar

For the 5th year in a row, the Throne Law Firm and WAPL are sponsoring an Educational Seminar on Thursday, August 4th (the day before the Golf Tournament) from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (snacks and beverages provided).  This year’s seminar will be held at the Holiday Inn located at 1809 Sugarland Drive, Sheridan, WY 82801.  The introduction will be by WAPL’s own Marc Strahn, the AAPL Past President, with topics covering Participating Areas in Federal Exploratory Units, paying wells, federal suspensions, DJ play in SE Wyoming, WOGCC regulations, spacing, administrative approvals, APDs, Federal Record Title vs Operating Rights, creditors rights, alternative dispute resolution, legal update and ethics issues.  Please see the attached agenda and registration form for more information.  This seminar provides landmen with 6 CPL/RPL/RL continuing education hours with one ethics hour and attorneys with 5.25 WY CLE credits.

Special Note: The University of Wyoming is now in its fourth year with an AAPL accredited Professional Land Management Program at UW!!
