The Four A's to Life's Recovery:

A Self Care Workshop for Providers 

This FREE four-hour workshop is designed to provoke participants to begin self-examination from the inside out versus outside in.  It will explore the strengths, values and challenges faced in everyday life.  This workshop is created by Cherie Hunter and Forward Movement, Inc. (an executive leadership and coaching group).  

 If you've asked any of the questions below, then this workshop is for you! 

  • What is hindering me from hitting the reset button?
  • How can I bounce back mentally and emotionally behind some challenges and/or obstacles that occur in my life?
  • What or who keeps me from moving forward?  Who are my champions?
  • Why do I say yes, when I really mean no?______________________________________________________________

Workshop Logistics

  • Workshop time: Morning registration and breakfast will start at 8:30 AM. The workshop will begin at 9:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM. 
  • Parking: Paulina/Taylor Parking structure is located at 915 South Paulina Street.  The structure is a block away from training location. We will not validate parking for this workshop, please plan accordingly.  Estimated parking fee is $11-15. 
  • Continuing Education Units: We will provide Continuing Education Units from IAODAPCA

About the trainer, Cherie Hunter  

Ms. Hunter is a three time cancer survivor, Author of Cancer Made Me Beautiful: A Journey to Recovery, and is the Executive Director of Hunter Communications Group.  Ms. Hunter has worked in the field of Behavioral Health for over 30 years, managing programs in the areas of Criminal Justice, Addiction Recovery and Training.  Ms. Hunter is known both Nationally and Internationally, most recently overseeing the development of a curriculum on Recovery Management for use in South Africa and Asia. Ms. Hunter is dedicated to delivering services and meeting the needs of diverse populations, developing coalitions, and working with boards of directors while providing qualified expertise and innovative direction.
