Old strawberry bed not as productive as you'd like? Always wanted a strawberry bed but don't know where to begin? Visit Hannah Traggis in the Seed to Table vegetable garden on Sunday, July 17th 10-11:30 am. You will learn how create new or rejuvenate old strawberry beds and a simple technique to propagate new plants from old ones! Basic strawberry plant health and care will be discussed and you will get to practice your new technique and take a few plants home for your own garden!
We will also discuss perennial food plants and their general maintenance and care if time allows. As always, workshops are participant driven, so please come with questions!
This program will run for 1.5 hrs and is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Be prepared to get your hands in the dirt, and go home armed with the fortitude to tackle that strawberry bed or establish a new one!
This program is part of the summer-long workshop series from the Seed to Table Program, see you in the Gardens at Elm Bank!
