Welcome!!

This fall in Women in the Word we will learning about both political and personal crisis through book of Jeremiah. Part of the message Jeremiah delivered to Judah was that they were headed for unthinkable disaster. Yet he also told them that the Lord would accomplish something wonderful through that disaster. 

What do you do when the world falls apart?  Jeremiah has answers.

Women in the Word will meet at Portio Church (see map on the side panel) on Wednesdays from 9:00-11:30 am starting September 14th and running through November 16th. The doors will open at 9:00 am for childcare check-in and some social time over coffee and tea. Bible study will start promptly at 9:15am. Dress is casual. 

Childcare is available for an additional cost upon registration. Only non-crawling infants are welcome to join their moms in Bible study. All other children will be well-loved and taken care of in contained classrooms at the church. Preschoolers will be led through the Old Testament using "The Amazing Adventure" children's curriculum.  *New this year, we will have a homeschool classroom! ** As of August 11th, Childcare is full!  Home school class still has spots. Please contanct Carri (carri.drake@gmail.com) for more information and to be placed on the waiting list!!

 The cost is $15 for the study, $30 for the study plus 1 child in childcare,  or $35 for the study plus 2 or more children in childcare.  (The cost of Bible study covers printed material, childcare, and a donation to Portico Church for the use of their building.)

Deadline to sign up is August 30th. Childcare spots are limited and will fill up fast!  

 Women in the Word is open to anyone in the community. Please consider inviting a friend to attend with you!
