2016 Body Worn Camera Training and Technical Assistance Regional Conference
Pardon the interruption, but please join us for the first Regional Conference for the Body Worn Camera Training and Technical Assistance Program in Charleston, SC on August 18 & 19. The focus of this meeting is to assist BJA grantees and non-grantees as they implement body-worn cameras (BWCs). Police chiefs, their command staff, and prosecutors are invited to attend and participate.
The format of the plenary panels and workshops will follow the popular sports-related television program called Pardon the Interruption. BJA Director Denise O'Donnell will provide opening remarks and lead a discussion with former Manhattan Executive District Attorney Kris Hamann on prosecutorial issues. A Chief's Panel will discuss current and future technology challenges and Mr. Greg Hurley of the National Center for State Courts will discuss his recent work on BWCs, the courts, and litigation issues. Dr. Craig Uchida and Ms. Shellie Solomon will describe their work on the costs and benefits of BWCs in Los Angeles.
