 Meet Your Farmer Dinner at Atlas by Blackened Dragon Asian-Cajun Cuisine and The Curry Shack East Indian Kitchen

Featuring Fields Farm and DD Ranch

 

The Meet Your Farmer Dinner Series is a wonderful way to really meet your local farmers!

Meet Your Farmer dinners consist of a locally sourced, gourmet meal hosted by and prepared by rotating local restaurants. During dinner you will be treated to a presentation by the evening's featured farmer.

This is a first of its kind collaborative bonanza featuring the delicious cuisine from two of Bends best food carts, utilizing products from two of Bends best farmers! Ka Bam folks! Crazy synergy, amazing cuisine. This is one event you don't want to miss.

The Blackened Dragon  creates a unique mash up of Asian and Cajun/Southern food on this brand new chef driven cart.  They utilize the very best in local and seasonal ingredients in their scratch kitchen.  They make 99% of the items in house including pickles, sauces, condiments, and even sausages and charcuterie.

  At The Curry Shack East Indian Kitchen Runi really brings the heat from the East and serves mouthwatering delicacies from India. Indian street food at its best!

About Fields Farm:  Jim and Debbie Fields have been growing produce for the local market since 1989.  Fields Farm is a sustainable farm using pesticide free, soil building methods.  Fields Farm has a CSA and Farm Bucks program.

About DD Ranch: Located in Terrebonne, DD Ranch raises grass-fed beef, pork, poultry and seriously awesome pumpkins. Some of the best meats in Central Oregon are lovingly raised on these beautiful acres.

Appetizer
 The Curry Shack: Samosa fried Indian pastry with locally sourced potatoes and spices, served with house made Tamarind sauce. Hot sauce Jeera Aloo-Baingan stirfried eggplant and Fields Farm potatoes with cumin
AND
The Blackened Dragon: Sesame seared scallops with grits, pickled shrimp, sweet corn grits, avocado, and bacon jam.

Entree
The Curry Shack: Saag Paneer (a local twist on the universally popular Saag - leafy greens curry) with Fields Farm greens. Paneer from Appel farms in Washington. Hariyali Lamb Kebabs locally-sourced lamb from White Diamond Ranch -tenderly grilled and served on a skewer- with Fields Farm mixed veggies and basmati rice (fragrant long grain rice, cooked to perfection with a hint of turmeric and garnished with cilantro)
AND
The Blackened Dragon: "Cajun Asian BBQ Tour" Korean BBQ brisket with slaw and bbq beans. Watermelon teriyaki ribs with arugula, feta, and pepita brittle. House andouille sausage with potato puree and sweet onion chutney. Smoked crispy chicken with green beans and white pecan bbq. House pickled selection.

Dessert
The Curry Shack: Gulab Jamun:Traditional sweet dessert. Fried dough balls in a sugar and cardamom syrup. Drizzled with a sweet mango sauce and sweet coconut
