October is Disability Awarenss Month. Please join the Dayle McIntosh Center for the 1st Annual Richard Devylder Day on Disability. Come and experience the world of disability while having fun! There will be simulated activities, demonstrations of assistive equipment and devices, a DJ, comedy show, live auction, food, drinks, and more!
Here is a sneak preview of what event participants can expect…
Food: Street tacos; beans; rice; chips & salsa; margarita's; imported beer; soda; bottled water; & agua fresca.
Dessert: Pastry tray & Starbucks coffee
Disability Awareness Exhibits:
Activities, that allow participants to experience what it is like to be blind, deaf, or to use a wheelchair. Demonstration of assistive devices, that people with various disabilities use in their daily lives.

Richard Devylder, 7/25/1969 – 8/8/2015. Former Special Adviser to the President of the United States in the area of accessible transportation, Chief of Access and Functional Needs in the governor’s Office for Emergency Services, and Executive Director (2003-2006), of the Dayle McIntosh Center.
