"Award Winning Irises at Below Retail Prices!"
The Yakima Valley Iris Society hosts its annual Iris Rhizome Sale in the Harold Jones Center at the Yakima Area Arboretum. Look for a great selection of irises from historic to newer varieties in all bearded classes, plus, varieties found in the Arboretum's own Iris Display Garden.
Want to learn how to separate your own iris rhizomes? Let the members of the Iris Society show you how, they will be conducting demonstrations throughout the day on all aspects of caring for and maintaining these most versatile of flowers.
Irises tend to be very hardy options for Eastern Washington gardens and can be a great solution for tough locations and poor soil, such as along driveways and alleys. Most varieties are drought and heat tolerant.
Everyone is welcome!
Directions: Once you drive onto the Arboretum grounds, drive past the Jewett Interpretive Center, and down the road to the next building.
