Research shows 5 seconds is all it takes for a user to look at your webpage and decide whether to stay or to leave  - for good.
The sheer volume of options/search results has caused people to make snap judgments on a site's value. When your web page survives the snap judgment, your website can work to convert the sale or lead.
In this Lunch & Learn Session, Guest Speaker Hendrik-Jan Francke will discuss the 5 musts to pass the 5-Second Test and will review results of audience-submitted home pages and landing pages.  Attendees will also receive Bright Orange Thread's Writing for the Web Checklist for your content creators to utilize in creating easy-to-read web pages.

Hendrik-Jan  Francke is the principal of Bright Orange Thread, a digital marketing and website development firm. In 2006, he left his professorship at the University of Delaware so Bright Orange Thread could become a full-fledged enterprise instead of a 'half-man' studio. He is also a guest speaker for numerous associations, teaching organizations how to write for the web and utilize best practices for improving the efficacy of their website.
