Stepping Out from Invisibility

The Future of AAPIs in the Twin Cities and the Nation

A Community Briefing and Reception
Featuring

Neil Horikoshi
President & Executive Director
Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund

Join the Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) for a special reception on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at University of Minnesota's Campus Club, West Wing to support Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) students in higher education. Guests will join other community and business leaders to learn more about APIASF and University of Minnesota's (UMN) efforts to accelerate the success of local AAPI students.

As one of the fastest growing demographic segments, the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community will grow from ~6% of the general population in 2016 to ~10% of the population in the United States by 2060.  Why should leaders in education, business, and the community care about the needs of AAPIs in the Twin Cities and the Nation?  There is a role for everyone to play and the stakes could not be more critical for the collective future.

The event is FREE, but registration is required.
