About the Presenter:
Alan Krieger is a highly skilled executive coach, leadership trainer and team building consultant who helps organizations build strong leadership and work teams. He has been involved with non-profit agencies for 30 years. He worked in a community based youth program, at a state youth agency, and as Executive Director of a statewide youth leadership organization.
He began his consulting practice in 1992 and has worked with a wide range of public and non-profit agencies, providing leadership and staff training, organizational consulting, leadership coaching and facilitating board/staff retreats. Alan is known for his practical, hands-on approach that helps people work together more effectively.
Alan has a Master’s degree in Management from Antioch New England Graduate School. He is founder and president of Krieger Solutions, LLC.
Communicating to Connect
This fast paced engaging program will provide practical skills and strategies to deal more effectively with the wide range of people and personalities you interact with on a daily basis. Some people are easy to connect with, others seem to have a hair trigger or see the world very differently. You will learn how to communicate more successfully and to build better relationships. You will gain new understanding of what makes people difficult to communicate with and strategies to work more effectively with them.
By the end of this program you will learn:
- A range of communication styles and how to adapt to better connect with others
- New ways to read others behavior
- How to frame your communication so others hear you
- How to listen to fully understand
- Strategies for defusing tense situations and preventing conflict
Participants will get a link to our on-line communication styles self-assessment prior to the program. You will also be able to sign up for a free email follow up series that helps reinforce the points addressed in the program.

- If you cancel less than 4 weeks in advance, there is a $10.00 cancellation fee.
- If you cancel less than 2 weeks in advance, you wil only receive a 50% refund.
- If you do not cancel in advance and do no attend, you will not receive any refund.
