Tapestry weaving is a weaving technique that is akin to painting with fiber. The possibilities with this type of weaving are endless and the skills you will learn go back centuries. You will be able to weave anything from geometric prints to intricate landscapes once you master the basics.
Doris Florig, a renowned fiber artist, will be teaching this workshop using hand made nomadic looms. These looms collapse and did so to historically travel well with the nomadic weaver. In this workshop Doris will be your guide through the warping, designing, color play and actual weaving of your tapestry.
A materials fee will apply during the course once you consult with Doris about your yarn and color choices.
Fee: $50+ a class materials fee to be paid in class

October 22, 2016 from 9 am - noon, Doris will be teaching Tapestry Weaving Part 2 - Progress - That will be a separate registration and fee.
