Congregation Or Ami welcomes the new Jewish year 5777 with High Holy Day services at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in the Fred Kavli Theatre, led by Rabbi Paul Kipnes, Cantor Doug Cotler, and Rabbi Julia Weisz.
LOCATION CHANGE: All Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur Services will be at the Kavli Theatre, except: Both Yom Kippur Family (3:00 pm) and Neilah (4:45 pm) services will be at Congregation Or Ami.
TIME CHANGE: Yizkor Memorial service will be on Yom Kippur MORNING (about 12:15 pm) at the conclusion of the morning service.
PARTNERSHIP RENEWAL: Congregants in the Or Ami community are entitled to tickets. Please consider becoming part of the community. We would love to welcome you. Contact Susie Stark to learn more.
ORDERING TICKETS: You may order as many tickets as you need. Please order your High Holy Day tickets no later than October 10, 2016. Online ordering closes at noon on October 10, 2016. * In today's heightened security environment, no one will be admitted without a ticket and we must collect names and contact information for all worshippers. All tickets will be color coded and checked at the door. Income from these ticket purchases defrays the significant costs of renting the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.
PICK UP TICKETS: For Yom Kippur, please pick up tickets at WILL CALL 30 minutes before services begin. There WILL be a line. Please be patient (so you don't have more things to ask for forgiveness for during the service.)
PRAYERBOOKS: Or Ami uses the machzor (prayerbook) Gates of Light. Unfortunately, we are unable to loan High Holy Day Machzor (prayer books). Please purchase copies of the prayerbook using this form.
Thank you for making High Holy Days 5777 a meaningful and enriching experience for all.
