Physical Activity and Built Environment Strategies for Urban Communities

CLOCC’s Fall Quarterly Meeting will incorporate a working focus on improving built environment and expanding capacity for physical activity as it relates to the childhood obesity strategies set forth in CLOCC’s Blueprint for Accelerating Progress in Childhood Obesity Prevention. Participants will learn about national and local models for improving the physical environment and increasing physical activity. Two round-table discussion sesssions will explore the challenges and opportunities related to ensuring that the best strategies are effectively and widely implemented on a local level.
The meeting will be held in the conference center on the 11th floor of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The main session will begin at 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be proceeded by Intro to CLOCC (11:00 a.m.) and interest group meetings (Noon).

Attendees must obtain a building pass from CLOCC staff on the 2nd level (next to the welcome desk). You will then proceed to the conference rooms on the 11th floor to check in for the Quarterly Meeting.
- For those who are new to CLOCC or would like more information, the Intro to CLOCC session will be held at 11:00 a.m., prior to the interest group discussions. Please RSVP to attend.
- CLOCC Interest Groups will meet on the 11th floor from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Visit CLOCC.net to learn more about the Consortium's focus areas and interest groups.
- Healthy snacks will be available.
