2016 #CHAgives Workshop #2
Causeway, United Way and the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga are teaming up to harness all of our city's giving power for Chattanooga's nonprofits on November 29, nationally known as Giving Tuesday. After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. Last year we started a local version of Giving Tuesday called #CHAgives Day. You can follow the national movement with #GivingTuesday and our local chapter with #CHAgives.
Last year, local participating organizations collectively raised more than $100,000. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. This year, let's raise $250,000 for our community on November 29.
We invite you to join the movement and help us pair it with #CHAgives in the Tennessee Valley. We want this to be a fundraising opportunity that benefits all nonprofits in our region.
- Get your workplace and local government officials, nonprofits, and small businesses involved in #CHAgives. Encourage them to officially sign up as partners on our website (www.CHAgives.org) and register to attend one of our workshop on tactics and activities we will organize to make the day more successful. Our two, one-hour workshops will be held on Sept. 27 and Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. and participating nonprofits are required to attend.Attendance is free.
- Help spread the word about #CHAgives. Join the email list by visiting to receive updates, event invitations, and the latest graphics and tools to share on your social channels.
- Use the hashtags #CHAgives and #GivingTuesday to talk about charity and the causes and organizations you support.
- Help us continue to localize #GivingTuesday through #CHAgives. We are asking you to come together to increase our local campaign (#CHAgives) to $250,000 this year. Join us on Sept. 27 or Sept. 29 and learn how together, we can have a greater impact this November 29.
There are many ways to get involved in #CHAgives. We encourage you to join us on September 27 or September 29 to learn more about how you can make a difference. Remember, attendance is free.
