Drew Perry

Women’s Resource Center in Alamance County is excited to present Drew Perry, family man, author and Elon University Associate Professor of English. Drew Perry writes about relatable challenges and fears involving fatherhood, parenting, marriage, love, and life. Drew is the author of several short fiction, poetry and nonfiction works. His first novel "This is Just Exactly Like You" was a finalist for the Flaherty-Dunnan First Novel Prize, a Best-of-the-Month pick and was named to Kirkus Reviews "Winter's Best Bets" and "Books so Funny You're Guaranteed to Laugh. Drew has also written for Our State Magazine and the Huffington Post. On June 17th in the Huffington Post, Drew shared with readers how a young son he calls "The Toad" often reminds him of important things in life. Drew Perry joined Elon University's faculty in 1999. He received a bachelor of arts in journalism from the University of Georgia and a master's of fine arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Drew was one of three Elon University professors selected as Senior Faculity Research Fellow for the 2014 - 2015 and 2015 - 2016 academic years.
