Kathy Griffin is an early childhood specialist with over 20 years of experience teaching students Pre-K through 2nd grade.  She holds a BSED in Early Childhood Education and a MSED in Special Education and obtained her National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist in 2002 and 2011. Kathy was named her district’s Teacher of the Year in 2008. She is an advocate for both teachers and students and is passionate about supporting educators as they plan developmentally appropriate activities in these standard based times.

Kathy demonstrates how to differentiate instruction for all learners and keep young students engaged through music, technology, and hands on learning.  She is the author of the CD, “Growing Dendrites with Kathy Griffin” along with many other multimedia files, games, and songs.

Join Kathy Griffin for a fun and motivational Professional Development Workshop!  Kathy promises to send you back to the classroom with a whole year full of tips, tricks, ideas,  and a renewed sense of enthusiasm.
Participants will complete 6 hours of Professional Development hours. Space is limited, so you will want to be among the first to register!
Yes They Can! Using Your Early Childhood Lens to Differentiate for All Learners

Join Kathy for a full day of fun reading and math learning activities that are centered around multi-sensory experiences using your students' favorite songs, chants, nursery rhymes, and favorite stories. Learn how to take old favorites and turn them into new classics to meet both reading and math standards.  Use your new make and take props and movement activities to teach emergent reading skills and number sense in an engaging way while differentiating for all learners. Gain research-based ideas for whole group, small groups, and independent learning centers. Leave with easy-to-implement activities that will motivate your students and support brain-based learning.  Let’s learn and play together! Please bring scissors and crayons for the make and takes. 

Conference Information
 

REGISTRATION FEE: (payable in advance) $164 per person. Checks, VISA, and MasterCard accepted. Purchase orders will not be accepted. Registration Fee includes: Attendance, coffee, muffins, lunch, and make-and-take items.  No confirmation will be sent. Your canceled check or your credit card statement will be your receipt of registration.

REFUND POLICY There are no refunds under any circumstances.  If your registration is accepted, but you are unable to attend, you may send a friend or colleague in your place.  In the event of an emergency which causes the cancellation of the conference, a $20 administrative fee will be deducted from yourregistrations.

UNIVERSITY CREDIT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS

Earn up to 3 Graduate-Level Professional Development units through University of the Pacific, Center of Professional and Continuing Education. These graduate-level professional development units are designed as professional development for salary advancement and to renew credentials and may meet the requirements of the California Transitional Kindergarten Stipend.
