DIY Baby Food

Do you want to try to make your own baby food, but aren’t sure how to get started? With a few guidelines, the right equipment and fresh and nutritious fruits and vegetables, you've got just about everything you need when it comes time to introduce solid foods.

Join us on Saturday, September 10th at Mitchell’s Ice Cream in Ohio City from 12:00 - 2:30pm to learn the basics of making delicious, healthy and safe baby food at home.

Fresh Forker and mom of four, Jess Beard, will be leading the class and going over everything from equipment, storage, which foods to introduce when, and great blends. This is a wonderful class for expecting parents, childcare providers or grandparents that will save you money and time when you start feeding your babies solid foods.

A great feature of this class-- Jess will be teaching us how to make infant formula at home, too, in case for whatever reason breastfeeding isn't the best option for you or your baby:

"Two years ago, I was unable to breastfeed my youngest, who was about four to five months old at the time, for health reasons. After extensively researching powdered formulas, I felt that most of what was commercially available was not close enough to the makeup and quality of real breast milk. When a good friend taught me about a formula created by the Weston A. Price Foundation, I couldn’t have been happier. It also worked out well that we were able to use quite a few Fresh Fork products to make the formula."

We have made sure to leave time in the schedule for any questions you may have, to have some lunch, and for ice cream, of course! We want you to leave empowered and ready to make good, healthy choices for your growing family. Hope to see you there!

This class is $25 per participant and will include a light lunch, a recipe guide to take home, and ice cream.
