2016 Community-Based Screening Services Update 

This Webinar will allow participants the opportunity to increase their knowledge regarding statewide STD morbidity and gain information regarding the importance of alternate specimen collection for the detection of chlamydia/gonorrhea.

Objectives: 1) Report on the 2015 statewide STD surveillance data and provide an update on programmatic priorities for STD prevention and control. 2) Review the options of using the tests of public health significance from the State Hygienic Laboratory to expand HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis testing. 3) Explain updates made to the state Expedited Partner Therapy Guidelines. 4) Review CBSS chlamydia and gonorrhea data trends by specimen site collection. 5) Explain the importance of taking a secual history in order to determine sites of possible sexual exposure for chlamydia/gonorrhea specimen collection.

Target Audience:  Representatives of participating CBSS provider sites, Disease Intervention Specialists, and other interested nurses, nurse practitioners, clinicians, educators, and counselors.

Fees:  CEUs-$15.00
