2016 PLANT THYME FALL LUNCHEON

Join Keep Pearland Beautiful for the 13th Annual Plant Thyme Fall Luncheon on October 7th with proceeds supporting KPB environmental programs and the Stella Roberts Recycling Center.   This year, the luncheon features guest speaker, gardener and writer Ann McCormick, “The Herb ‘n Cowgirl.”

If you enjoy cooking with herbs, organic gardening, or just love hearing a sunny perspective on life, you will want to meet Ann McCormick, the Herb ‘n Cowgirl.  Ann has devoted her time since 1998 to writing and speaking about her favorite subject, herbs.  She is a columnist for the Herb Quarterly and writes feature articles for The Dallas Morning News.   Ann’s love of gardening began in her father's fruit orchard and mother’s flower gardens in rural California.   After many years in an aerospace career, a well-planned mid-life crisis shifted her to pursue her interest in herbs.   She now lives in Texas writing and working in her herb gardens and traveling to share her love for growing and cooking with herbs.  Check out her blog at http://herbncowgirl.com.

Make your plans to attend the popular KPB Plant Thyme Fall Luncheon and native plant sale on Friday, October 7,  2016 at the Pearland First United Methodist Church Family Life Center, (2314 N. Grand, Pearland, TX  77581).  Doors open at 10:30 AM for silent auction and plant shopping prior to the luncheon program.  The plant sale continues to 1:30 PM on Friday and then moves to the Pearland Farmers Market Saturday morning, October 8th from 8:30 AM until noon.  The Farmer’s Market is located at Zychlinski Park, 2243 Grand Blvd.
