This year's conference will center around the wonderful world of weather and the seasons of the year - a popular early childhood topic and one rich with creative possibilities. This hands-on day includes activities for school, home, library and community settings designed to strengthen pre-literacy and literacy skills for children 2-8.

We'll share movement, music, drama and visual arts activities that are engaging, joyful and built around the conference theme. We'll also focus on early literacy, displaying and discussing a variety of books related to weather and the seasons.

Particular attention will be paid to meeting the needs of children with developmental and learning differences. Participants will take away sample lessons as well as a wealth of user-friendly ways to link the seasons, the weather   -- and the arts -- to children's literature and learning.

Teaching artists include Deborah Stuart, Will Cabell, Kelly Doremus Stuart and Richard Moses.

Presented by: The Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire and VSA New Hampshire as part of our ongoing Arts in Inclusive Learning collaboration. Our thanks also to Plymouth Elementary School for hosting.
