Introduction to Fermentation 

 

Learn how to make your own lacto-fermented kraut, kimchi, and kvass! Lorna Rouleau will demonstrate the science behind beneficial bacteria, pro-biotics and pre-biotics, and how bacteria can transform food. We'll go over the basic steps in the fermentation process and share recipe ideas that include a variety of fruits and vegetables. If time permits, we'll take a quick peek at mixed ferments like kombucha and kefir.
