Would you describe your ministry site as Small Town and Rural? If so, this STaR event, is for you!
Eastern and Western North Dakota Synods are excited to sponsor Rev. Dr. Mark Yackel-Juleen, the Director for Small Town and Rural Ministry at Wartburg Seminary. Dr. Yackel-Juleen has served the church in various capacities over the years—missionary to Hong Kong, synodical rural ministry coordinator, internship supervisor for 15 interns, adjunct instructor to several seminaries—but his deepest roots are in small town and rural congregations which he served for 17 years. He is currently involved in a research project surrounding rural ministry and looks forward to dialogue with Small Town and Rural pastors in our synods. He will focus on what might be needed for leaders as we anticipate changes in multipoint/rural parish ministry.
