Melissa Vermillion has been a grant writer for Hazard Community and Technical College for six years. She has successful written grant applications to the U.S.  Department of Agriculture, National Endowment of the Arts, Appalachian Regional Commission, U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA), the Department of Education TRIO Programs, and several private funders.   Prior to joining the college, she was the director for Aging Programs in Perry County where she was also successful in a variety grant opportunities.  Melissa has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Morehead State University and is currently pursuing her MBA at Morehead State University.  She has been married to Kevin Vermillion for 27 years and has two teenagers, Rebekah and Alex.
