Forming Leaders for Mission

Event Details
This workshop is designed to give you the tools you need to be a Collaborative leader—no matter what role you are being called to serve in. During the workshop, you will learn about Disciples in Mission, explore the unique aspects of a Collaborative, and clarify your leadership role—both in the Collaborative and in Disciples in Mission. This dynamic workshop includes a mixture of group activities, individual reflection, prayer, and conversation.

Audience

• In accordance with Disciples in Mission, any and all parish and collaborative staff (pastoral teams), parish councils, school boards, finance councils, collaborative councils, and plan-writing teams are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop.
• Any and all volunteers or parishoners whom you believe would benefit from this training are also welcome to attend.
• We encourage the councils, boards, writing teams, and pastoral teams to attend this workshop together as a group, where they can benefit from discussing the ideas and material presented together immediately. 
• We understand the realities of those living busy lives as well, and know that it may not always be possible for a team or council to attend a particular date together.  

Core Leadership Topics
Forming Leaders for Mission will provide the opportunity to explore and discuss questions such as:

• What is Disciples in Mission and how does it impact me, my parish, and my Collaborative?
• What is a Collaborative?
• What is my leadership role in the Collaborative?
• What do the parishes in my Collaborative share in common? What are our differences?
• What else do I need to know about being a Collaborative leader? Who do I turn to for answers?

Registration Details

RCAB Clergy and Religious
Any clergy or religious within the Archdiocese of Boston including bishops, priests, deacons, brothers, and sisters.

RCAB Collaborative Participants
Any individual attending from a Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, Phase 4, or Phase 5 collaborative, any Pastoral Center employee, or a member of a Pastoral Planning Advisory Board.  

Non-Collaborative RCAB Participants
Any individual from the Archdiocese of Boston who is not currently in a Phase 1, Phase 2, or Phase 3 collaborative.  

Non-RCAB Participants 
Any attendee from outside the Archdiocese of Boston.  

Seminarians
Any and all seminarians.

Parish Nurses
Any and all parish nurses.  

Conditions and Policies
Registration closes one week prior to the workshop date.  Payment can be mailed prior to the workshop or presented upon arrival. Workshops are capped at 60 participants.  Please contact us if funding is an issue.  In the event that we need to cancel we will notify all participants via e-mail, post notices on www.disciplesinmission.com/formingleaders, and provide a full refund or transfer payment to an available workshop date of your choice.
