He will describe what is happening today with the CLE air services and airport infrastructure, and what the future holds. Will we get another anchor airline? Will we be a hub again? Will we get international connections again. Will the parking improve? These are just some questions that Todd will discuss during his presentation and the Q & A afterwards.

Our speaker - Todd F. Payne: Todd F. Payne was selected to join the City Of Cleveland‘s Department of Port Control for the Cleveland Airport System in December 2006 as Chief of Marketing and Air Service Development. He is responsible for air service development and marketing as well as communications, customer service and community relations for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Burke Lakefront Airport.  Prior to his selection, Payne was Strategic Manager of the Eastern and Central U.S. and National Affiliate Marketing Manager with Hawaiian Airlines.  He has 30-years of travel industry marketing and leadership experience with airlines, hospitality and destination entities.  He has also held management positions with Piedmont Airlines, USAir, VIASA Venezuelan  Airways, the Aruba Tourism Authority, Universal Studios Orlando, Sofitel Hotels and the Experience Columbus CVB.  Mr. Payne is a graduate of Ashland University and has also received CTC and CTA certification from the Travel Institute.  

Todd has been married to his college sweetheart, Jill for 29–years.  They have two children, Krista, a 24-year actress who lives in New Orleans and Brent, a 17-year old senior at North Olmsted High School.  Payne serves on the Tourism Advisory Committee for Destination Cleveland and on the Air Service Demand Task Force for the Greater Cleveland Partnership.
